THE FAILURE OF CHLOROQUINE TO STIMULATE THE HUMAN ADRENAL CORTEX

[摘要] Eosinophil counts and corticosteroid assays indicated no increase in activity during one month of therapy. Lowered 17-ketosteroid values in 5 of 8 subjects may reflect a depression of testicular activity. The therapeutic mechanism of chloroquine does not involve the adrenal cortex.
