THE PROTEINS IN PEMPHIGUS VULGARIS .1. ELECTROPHORETIC ANALYSIS OF THE PROTEINS IN THE BLOOD SERUM OF PATIENTS WITH PEMPHIGUS VULGARIS

[摘要] Electrophoretic analysis of serum proteins in 8 patients with pemphigus vulgaris acutus and in 7 patients with pemphigus vulgaris chronicus showed that in the various stages of pemphigus vulgarus acutus the amt. of serum albumin was markedly reduced, in some instances to less than 25% of the normal value. The amts. of alpha-1 and alpha-2 globulins were greatly increased. In other stages, the albumin was only moderately lowered or was normal. Because of the physiol. importance of the serum albumin, treatment by infusions of human serum albumin appears advisable.
