EVALUATION OF THE ENZYMES OF THE KREBS-HENSELEIT CYCLE IN HUMAN EPIDERMIS

[摘要] The enzymatic steps in the Krebs-Henseleit urea cycle were evaluated in preparations of human epidermis. Neither ornithine transcarbamylase nor arginine synthetase activities could be demonstrated. The implica- tions of these negative findings are discussed in terms of a possible role of arginase in epidermal tissue.
