VDRL CHANCROID STUDIES .3. USE OF DUCREY SKIN TEST VACCINES ON RABBITS

[摘要] Vaccines were prepared from 4 strains of Hemophilias ducreyi (2 virulent and 2 avirulent) cultivated in a medium containing rabbit serum in place of whole blood. The intracutaneous inoculation of killed suspensions of H. ducreyi was shown to produce focal reactions of induration and hyperemia in previously infected rabbits. No qualitiative or quantitative differences in antigenicity could be detected in vaccines prepared from virulent or avirulent strains of H. ducreyi.
