REMOVAL OF INTACT HAIR PAPILLA AND CONNECTIVE TISSUE SHEATH BY PLUCKING ANAGEN HAIRS
[摘要] A report is given of plucked hairs showing an intact hair papilla and a complete connective tissue sheath including the base of the papilla. An investigation was done on women with common female baldness (female pattern alopecia, androgenetic alopecia). Trichograms were also made of normal male and females and those with common baldness and scalp disorders, to determine whether the occurrence of plucked hairs with intact papillae and preserved connective tissue sheaths is the result of a very quick and foreeful plucking, or is a characteristic of common baldness. The appearance of anagen hairs with papillae depended entirely on the way in which the hairs are removed.
