HISTOCHEMICALLY DEMONSTRABLE CARBOHYDRATES OF APPENDAGEAL TUMORS OF THE SKIN .1. BENIGN ECCRINE GLAND TUMORS

[摘要] The findings in syringomas and eccrine poromas suggest that both secretory and ductal differentiation occur in these tumors. The findings in syringoma suggest that this tumor is of eccrine rather than apocrine origin. The findings of Kersting and Helwig in regard to eccrine spirade-nomas were confirmed. Spiradenomas show no glycogen or evidence of secretory activity, and their cellular origin remains in doubt. Unclassified eccrine adenomas reacted uniformly to the methods employed. They contained no secretion granules, but the reactions of the material in their lumens suggests secretory activity in these tumors.
