ABOUT PROOF OF UROCANIC ACID IN CALLUS AND IN NORMAL HUMAN HORNY LAYER

[摘要] The identity of a water-soluble ultraviolet-absorbing compound with urocanic acid, occurring usually as cis and trans isomer was demonstrated for callus, and was confirmed by paper chromatography and spectrometric analyses. There was demonstrated the interfering influence of trichloracetic acid on those characteristics of urocanic acid which were responsible for the objections of other investigators to the identification of urocanic acid with the compounds in question.
