IODINE IN CHILDRENS HAIR - ITS RELATION TO URINARY IODINE LEVELS

[摘要] The iodine content of samples of scalp hair and 24-hour urine was determined for 15 children drinking iodine-rich and for 15 children drinking iodine-poor water. All the children were healthy and between 7 and 17 years of age. Urine iodine content varied significantly according to the source of water supply; there was no significant difference in scalp hair iodine content.
