EFFECT OF ORALLY ADMINISTERED ANTIBACTERIAL AGENTS ON TITRATABLE ACIDITY OF HUMAN SEBUM

[摘要] The effect of various antibiotics and sulfonamides on the titratable acidity of surface sebum in normal adult males was investigated. Erythromycin estolate and demethylchlortetracycline hydrochloride decreased the free acidity of sebum. Potassium phenoxymethyl penicillin, sulfisoxazole and sulfadimethoxine did not alter the free acidity.
