OBSERVATIONS ON GLYCOGEN IN EPITHELIAL TUMORS

[摘要] Glycogen in epithelial tumors was studied histologically by means of the periodic acid-Schiff technique, controlled by malt diastase. This study revealed that the presence or absence of glycogen is not related to the avail-ability of glucose or oxygen, that absence of glycogen from tumors is not due to motitic activity and that keratinization is always preceded by an. accumulation of glycogen.
