CHEMICAL AND IMMUNOLOGICAL STUDIES ON DERMATOPHYTE CELL WALL POLYSACCHARIDES

[摘要] The polysaccharide fraction which makes up the outer wall of Trichophyton mentagrophytes has been isolated and partially characterized. This polysaccharide is highly antigenic and induces the synthesis of appreciable quantities of antibody. Antibody produced against T. mentagrophytes polysaccharide cross-reacts with T. rubrum polysaccharide.
