METABOLISM OF GLUCOSE-C-14 BY HUMAN SKIN INVITRO

[摘要] In vitro studies of skin slices from autopsy material in physiological solution of glucose U-C-14 revealed some findings about the pathways of glucose metabolism. The activity of the epidermal slices was greater than dermal activity. The author feels that all 3 pathways of glucose metabolism are present in the skin, but the Embdin-Meyerhof pathway of aerobic glycolysis predominates.
