ULTRASTRUCTURE OF BLASTOSPORES OF CANDIDA ALBICANS AFTER PERMANGANATE FIXATION

[摘要] The fine structure of blastospores of C. albicans growing at room temperature, and fol-lowing fixation with potassium permanganate and lithium permanganate, is described. The characteristics of the various submicroscopic compo-nents of these cells are shown. The possibility of further application of lithium permanganate fixation for electron microscopic study of other mycological material is discussed.
