CLINICAL EXPERIENCES WITH METHOXSALEN IN THE TREATMENT OF VITILIGO

[摘要] Although no patient was cured of his vitiligo, 67% felt that the results justified the cost of treatment and the time expended. The continued repigmentation with prolonged treatment would suggest that 100% repigmentation could be obtained if treatment were continued long enough with sufficient intensity. In general, the amount of repigmentation seemed to be more dependent on total time of exposure to sunlight and the location of the lesion than on the age of the patient, duration of the disease or extent of involvement. The dorsum of the hands and feet repigmented much less readily than other areas.
