A NEW METHOD FOR QUANTITATIVE INVESTIGATION OF CUTANEOUS BACTERIA

[摘要] This method utilizes a buffered non-ionic detergent as sampling fluid in order to assure complete removal of bacteria from the skin and to disperse the removed microorganisms so that subsequent coloy counts reflect single bacterial cells rather than aggregates. Supporting data from various areas of the body are also given to show the efficiency of a detergent-based sampling fluid.
