PARTICLES IN CISTERNAE OF ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM OF FORTNERS AMELANOTIC AND MELANOTIC MALIGNANT MELANOMAS

[摘要] The distinctive particles, 90-110 m[mu] in diameter, consisting of an outer limiting membrane and spherical electron dense nucleoid interior were found in the cisternae of rough-surfaced endoplasmic reticulum of Fortner''s malignant melanoma cells. The biological significance of these particles in malignant pigment cell growth is discussed.
