EXCRETION OF I- AND 3-METHYLHISTIDINE BY PATIENTS WITH PSORIASIS GIVEN L-HISTIDINE ORALLY

[摘要] Urinary histidine, 1-methylhistidine, 3-methylhistidine, anserine, and carnosine were determined quantitatively in 2 patients with psoriasis fed a 10 gm dose of L-histidine while they were eating a constant diet. The 10 gm dose of histidine had little or no effect on the amount of any of the compounds excreted with the exception of histidine, which was increased. The results for patients with psoriasis, in general, agree with those found for normal subjects.
