DISSOCIATION OF GRANULATION AND EPITHELIZATION IN WOUNDS OF RABBITS BY MEANS OF TOPICALLY APPLIED HYDROCORTISONE

[摘要] By using controlled wounds on the skin of rabbits it was shown that hydrocortisone by the topical route inhibits the formation of granulation tissue. However hydrocortisone did not prevent the re-epithelization which in some instances took place over the base of wounds lacking granulation tissue.
