THE MECHANISM OF ADHESIVE PLASTER IRRITATION

[摘要] Under adhesive plaster, the pH of the skin rises and growth of bacteria and yeast occurs which in many cases is responsible for the adhesive plaster irritation. Addition of a general bactericidal agent, e.g., fatty acids, to adhesive plaster can play an important role in preventing plaster reactions.
