PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF RINGWORM INFECTIONS IN ANIMALS WITH SKIN CYCLES
[摘要] In the mouse, rat, and hamster, ringworm infection is conditioned by the stage of the skin cycle. The period of suscep-tibility is the latter part of anagenesis. The mouse is susceptible in varying degrees to many species of dermatophytes. The findings are discussed in relation to the physiology of mouse skin, the suitability of the mouse for ringworm research and the light thrown on the pathogenesis of the inflammatory reaction.
