MEASUREMENT OF THE EFFECT OF TOPICAL ANTIPRURITIC AGENTS ON EXPERIMENTALLY INDUCED PRURITUS

[摘要] A simple method was developed for recording the degree and duration of the pruritus resulting from application of cowhage to the cutaneous surface. With this method, the effectiveness of antipruritic agents was studied. None of the agents used, nor their placebos, significantly altered duration of either total or severe experimental pruritus.
