IMMUNIZATION AGAINST SUPERFICIAL FUNGOUS INFECTION .1. STUDIES ON EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS

[摘要] A method is described for preparing sterile antigenic material from one of the dermatophyte fungi. This method succeeds in destroying the fungus and yields extractable antigens in as nearly their native state as possible. Treatment of guinea pigs with this antigenic material by topical applications induced the development of hypersensitivity and an increased resistance to infection with the homologous fungus.
