On polynomial values of the discriminants of characteristic polynomials

[摘要] Let D(A'') denote the discriminant of the characteristic polynomial of the n th power of the matrix A. In this paper the polynomial values of D(A'') are investigated and it is pointed out that the ring generated by the spectrum of A plays an important role. (C) 1996 Academic, Inc.
