COMMUTING POLYNOMIALS AND LAMBDA-RING STRUCTURES ON Z[X]

[摘要] We show that there are up to isomorphy exactly two structures of lambda-ring on the polynomial ring Z[x]. The result is deduced from the theorem of Ritt on the classification of complex polynomials P and Q such that P.Q = Q.P.
