SEMIGROUP STRUCTURES ON DERIVED LIMITS

[摘要] Under certain conditions a law of composition can be defined on the derived limit of an inverse sequence of nonabelian groups turning the derived limit into a semigroup. This is applied to the topological problem of invertibility of strong shape morphisms, which induce an ordinary shape equivalence.
