INDUCED STAGGERED FIELD EFFECTS IN ANTIFERROMAGNETS

[摘要] Externally applied magnetic, electric and strain fields can, under certain conditions, induce staggered fields which couple to the order parameter of many antiferromagnets. Different physical effects and their microscopic origins are briefly reviewed and the importance of possible competitions is emphasized.
