THEORY OF MAGNETORESISTANCE IN MAGNETIC SUPERLATTICES

[摘要] Recently giant magnetoresistive effects have been found in Fe/Cr magnetically layered structures. In the quasi-classical Fuchs-Sondheimer approach to the resistivity the contribution from interfacial scattering is treated differently from other sources. We have treated the contributions to the resistivity from the scattering within the layers and the interfaces on an equal footing, and summarize our results for the longitudinal and transverse magnetoresistances.
