INFLUENCE OF INTERFACIAL DOPING WITH RARE-EARTH ELEMENTS ON THE MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF SELECTED CO/PT MULTILAYERS

[摘要] Interfacial doping with rare earth (RE) elements was used to alter the magnetic properties of Pt/Co multilayers. An increase in magntocrystalline anisotropy and a decrease in magnetic coercivity were observed. However, strong evidence for coupling of Co and RE moments was not found.
