Its clinical efficacy, purity and safety profile have been extensively documented in numerous publications. Because of growing public concerns on the safety of gonadotrophins extracted from human urine, the future will lie in the recombinant technology, which will also enable the design of more convenient tailor-made gonadotrophins.
