MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF MELT-SPUN (Y1-XSMX)0.6ZR0.4FE2.9
[摘要] The magnetic properties of a PuNi3-type phase in the system (Y(1-x)Sm(x))0.6Zr0.4Fe2.9 are investigated. The Curie temperature increases from 355-degrees-C for x = 0 to 385-degrees-C for x = 1 whereas the saturation polarization at room temperature remains nearly unchanged at J(s) = 0.93 T. The easy magnetization direction (EMD) lies in the basal plane for x less-than-or-equal-to 0.2 and it changes to the c-axis for x greater-than-or-equal-to 0.4. The anisotropy field for Sm0.6Zr0.4Fe2.9 is 10.5 T at room temperature. This PuNi3 structure-type material can be magnetically hardened by melt spinning. The isotropic ribbons show a coercivity of 5.6 kA cm-1 and a remanence of 0.44 T, which can be further improved by optimization of the Sm:Zr ratio.
