A concise synthesis of alpha-glycosyl cyanides

[摘要] A simple procedure has been developed for the synthesis of alpha-glycosyl cyanides: reactions of O-benzylated ethyl 1-thio-glycosides of L-fucose and D-glucose, with TMSCN and MeOTf in ether exclusively gave the corresponding alpha-glycosyl cyanides in good yields.
