ASYMMETRIC-SYNTHESIS OF ALPHA-HYDROXYETHYL BETA-LACTAM DERIVATIVES - AN APPROACH TO THIENAMYCIN

[摘要] The asymmetric synthesis of a beta-lactam ring with three contiguous chiral centers, including a hydroxyethyl side chain, was accomplished by the preparation and oxidative cyclization of the appropriate beta,gamma-unsaturated hydroxamate.
