The preparation of L-(2S,3S)-4,4,4-[H-2(3)] valine

[摘要] Isotopically labeled amino acids are important for protein structure determination and in biosynthetic studies. We report now on the synthesis of (2S,3S)-4,4,4-[H-2(3)] valine (9) using a short, versatile, enzyme-free procedure. The deuterium label is introduced via an organocuprate opening of a chiral epoxide. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
