Maryna Viazovska to Receive the 2017 Sastra Ramanujan Prize

[摘要] The 2017 SASTRA Ramanujan Prize will be awarded toDr. Maryna Viazovska of theSwiss Federal Institute ofTechnology, Lausanne, Switzerland, especially for herstunning solution in dimension 8 of the celebratedsphere packing problem, andfor her equally impressivejoint work with Henry Cohn,Abhinav Kumar, StephenD. Miller and Danylo Radchenko resolving the spherepacking problem in dimension 24, by building upon herfundamental ideas in dimension 8.
