[摘要] The problem column in this issue is devoted to discrete mathematics.This beautiful and highly applicable area of mathematics deals withthe study of discrete structures and phenomena. The structures studied in discrete mathematics consist of sequences of individual steps.This is in contrast to other areas of mathematics such as differentialcalculus, where the concept of a continuous process plays an integralrole.
