Protocol of Kasr Al-Ainy’s phototherapy unit − Cairo University for the management of photoresponsive skin diseases − part 1: general protocol

[摘要] One of the most commonly used and effective lines of treatment in chronic skin diseases is phototherapy. A protocol of the Kasr Al-Ainy Phototherapy Unit has been proposed for the treatment of different dermatological diseases such as psoriasis, mycosis fungoides, and vitiligo based on the best current research-based guidelines and the experience of the phototherapy team. This protocol is the cornerstone of the everyday practice in Kasr Al-Ainy Phototherapy Unit and we believe dermatologists dealing with such diseases in their hospitals or clinics, can find it helpful and applicable to get better results with their patients. In part 1, the general measures of the protocol will be discussed.
