[摘要] The 18th Int. Congress on Plasma Physics (ICPP-2016) was held at the KaohsiungExhibition Center, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan between 27 June 2016 and 1 July 2016. Thescope of ICPP is to discuss recent progress and to establish a view on the future of plasmascience, covering a wide range of aspects on fundamental plasma physics, fusion plasmas,astrophysical plasmas and plasma applications.The ICPP was first held in Nagoya, Japan in 1980, and was followed by similar events inmany different cities around the world: Gothenburg, Sweden (1982), Lausanne, Switzerland(1984), Kiev, Ukraine (1987), New Delhi, India (1989), Innsbruck, Austria (1992),Foz-do-Iguaçu, Brazil (1994), Nagoya, Japan (1996), Prague, Czech Republic (1998),Quebec City, Canada (2000), Sydney, Australia (2002), Nice, France (2004), Kiev,Ukraine (2006), Fukuoka, Japan (2008), Santiago, Chile (2010), Stockholm, Sweden (2012)and Lisboa, Portugal (2014).
