Enhancing the Capacity for Renewable Energy Application in Developing Countries

[摘要] Developing countries constitute over seventy percent of the world’spopulation. Нe\ are found mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia andLatin America. Нese countries are characterized by low per capitaincome, high population growth rate, high level of poverty, low level ofindustrialization, poor state of health, education and infrastructureamong other things. In particular, energy use in these countries is notonly low but the sources are mostly dependent on fossil fuels which arenot only un-renewable but unsustainable. Yet energy plays a key role inthe socio-economic and political development of any nation.
