A MODERN ADVANCED HILL CIPHER INVOLVING A PAIR OF KEYS, XOROPERATION AND SUBSTITUTION

[摘要] In this paper, we have developed a block cipher, which involves a pair of keys, XOR operation, mixing and substitution. All these additional features are expected to strengthen the cipher as the plaintext undergoes several transformations which are causing confusion and diffusion. From the avalanche effect and the cryptanalysis carried out in this investigation, we have noticed that this cipher is a strong one, and it can be utilized effectively for the transmission of information in a secured manner.
