Emerging Noninvasive Therapies in Pain Management
[摘要] Although the history of noninvasive pain management is as oldas humankind, evidence date back to the 2nd centuryAD, whenthe Roman physician Scribonius Largusidentified that electriccurrent had analgesic properties, instructing patients to standon an electric ray, the live black torpedo, for the treatment ofgout.[1] Nearly 2 millennia later, in 2014, transcranial magneticstimulation (TMS) was approved by the National Institute forHealth and Care Excellence (NICE) for the management ofmigraine.
