Impact of COVID-19 on research

[摘要] The coronavirus (COVID-19) has changedour normal way of life and with that ourprevious way of carrying out research. TheWorld Health Organization and the UK havedeclared it a "high consequence infectiousdisease”. In the UK alone, it has so far claimedmore than 41,000 lives, while over half amillion lives have been lost globally. Theeffects of the lockdown have had unprecedented financial implications for even themost robust economies. In a bid to reducethe mass scale of fiscal deficits, big institutions have taken steps to restructure howfunding is utilized while focusing on publichealth-related projects to combat COVID-19.
