Fracture-related infection

[摘要] Fracture-related infection (FRI) carries asubstantial burden of disease and socioeconomic costs.1-3 The incidence of FRI is1% to 2% in closed fractures and can reach30% in open fractures.1 Until recently,amputation and recurrence rates remainedhigh.2,4 With the publication of internationalconsensus documents,4,5 an evidence-basedoverview of diagnosis and managementhas been provided, which should improvetreatment outcomes.
