[摘要] Twenty-first century medical and surgicalpractice is firmly founded upon evidencebased medicine. Accordingly, there is anincreased awareness and application ofresearch to orthopaedic practice. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are commonlyregarded as the benchmark for unbiasedassessment of the effectiveness of our interventions, and synthesize the highest level ofevidence on the pyramid of evidence-basedmedicine.
