A literature review on vaginal dilator use

[摘要] Dilator stretching is often a frequent part oftreatment for multiple disorders involving thepelvic floor muscles and it is unknown what thetime and duration of dilator use is until patientgoals are achieved. This paper looks at studiesinvolving patient use of vaginal dilators with thediagnoses of vaginismus, dyspareunia, andpelvic pain to begin to answer the question. It wasdetermined the recommendations given to UIHCphysical therapy patients with these diagnoseschange to increase the daily time and frequencyof dilator usage.
