Full thickness epidermal burn from a heating pad on a cesarean incision with silver dressing: a case report

[摘要] We present a case of a full thickness epidermalburn resulting from an all-natural clay-basedheating pad over a cesarean incision silverdressing to bring awareness to the risksassociated with nonpharmacologic managementof post cesarean pain. There is limited guidanceon nonpharmacological management of postcesarean pain. It is important that providers areable to advise their patients about their options,including to be wary of using heating pads onpost-cesarean dressings, especially with pain inthe early post-partum period.
