Effect of Caprini Risk Assessment Model integration into electronic medical record on surgical venous thromboembolism prophylaxis

[摘要] To compare the proportion of patientswho receive appropriate perioperativevenous thromboembolism (VTE)chemoprophylaxis before and afterintegration of the Caprini riskassessment model (RAM) into theelectronic medical record (EMR).Secondary outcomes include VTEincidence within 6 weekspostoperatively, estimated blood loss(EBL), transfusion, return to theoperating room or other procedure dueto bleeding within 30 dayspostoperatively, and readmission, clinicvisit, or emergency room visit forbleeding within two weekspostoperatively.
