An efficient method for the synthesis of naphthoquinoline derivatives catalyzed by iodine

[摘要] A series of naphtho[2,3- f ]quinoline derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of an aromatic aldehyde, anthracen-2-amine and acetone or an acetophenone in tetrahydrofuran (THF) catalyzed by iodine. The features of this procedure are mild conditions, good to high yields and operational simplicity.
