Why not MDS in dental material sciences?
[摘要] Dentistry has changed a lot in the last two decades, from traditional silver amalgam to E‑max restorations and from Ni‑Cr‑Co crowns to computer‑aided‑design/ computer‑aided‑manufacturing zirconium crown. Dental syllabus is getting outdated with the introduction of newer material, technology, and globalization. A new era of internet has already made patient aware of new things in dentistry, so the demand has increased. It has become essential to adopt to the new technology, new materials, and newer trends in professional life. At present, almost 99% of dental materials, equipment are imported from the USA, Japan, or Europe, leading to huge loss of foreign exchange and burden on Indian Economy. The Government of India has announced “Make in India” initiative, and this is a huge market potential for startup, joint venture and manufacturing of dental products in India.
