Reality of implant success-new guidelines for the esthetic zone

[摘要] I am honored and privileged to be invited not just as a guest editor but also to author a chapter on immediate implants for this supplement. Implantology has evolved extensively over the past two decades where it is almost a standard of care for missing teeth or for replacing hopeless teeth. I could not be more blessed to have had the opportunity to learn, work, and teach every aspect of dental implants at the best and most prestigious institutes in the United States. I have witnessed first-hand, the success, challenges, and controversies surrounding dental implants. At the same time, I have experienced first-hand the benefits of what this mode of therapy can provide to our patients.
