Dental Implants-From Function to Esthetics

[摘要] Dr. Per-Ingvar Branemark, a swedish physician and researcher Gothenburg founded that titanium oculars placed into the leg bones of rabbit could not be removed from the bones after a period of healing. He coined this as ‘Osseointegration’. He then developed and tested a type of dental implant utilizing pure titanium screw, which he termed fixture. For this original research we know him as “father of modern Dental Implantology”. This was the biggest breakthrough in dental research and developing a new science of implantology, providing solutions to millions of edentulous smiles.
